ADAPTATIONS
Structual:
A structural adaptation would be a fawn’s fur. While a mother White Tailed Doe goes out to feed, she hides her fawn in bushes or in small shrouded area. The fawn’s fur is adapted to camouflages them into their surroundings, making it much more difficult for predators to spot them. Plus they are pretty much invisible to the noses of predators, as they are scentless for the first few weeks they are alive.
Behavioural:
White Tailed Deer are distinctly known for being able to adapt to different environments. As talked about in Habitat/Environment, there are many types of habitats that a White Tailed Deer could live in. Because of this, they need to change their actions and behaviour patterns, which will help them survive, especially in getting food. WTD have a tough tongue which helps them eat cacti, though this would go under structural adaptations, it just shows how adaptable the White Tailed Deer is.
