MAKES THE

AND SUCKLES THE

TEETH!

In terms of teeth, White Tailed Deer have very very similar teeth to other herbivores, like goats for example. A common trait herbivores have is they have no canines. This is ultimately because they just do not need them, especially since they only eat plant material. Other teeth they have include the premolars, molars and the incisors. White Tails have no upper incisors so this means the grass they eat is pulled out rather than clipped like how grazers eat grass. The molars are used to grind their food down, though sometimes White Tails straight swallow their food and can bring it back up later to chew. This is done in coalition with their four chambered stomach.
